For the first weekend of the Faith Promise Missions Rally, the number of commitments turned in was 26 and the total of those commitments is just ‘shy’ of $30K at $29,326! The Missions Ministry will be accepting commitment cards during the month of October. The actual ‘giving’ for the 2009-2010 Faith Promise year begins in November. Thank you very much!
Pinehaven 2011 Mission Trip
Missions News – Mission Trip for 2011 The mission ministry is planning a mission trip to Pinehaven Christian Children’s Ranch at St. Ignatius, Montana for the summer of 2011. Pinehaven is a working ranch near Missoula, Montana that welcomes youth/children who are in need of starting over and who would be in juvenile detention. Pinehaven is one of our Faith Promise Missions. This would be the 6th trip that members of LRCC have had the opportunity to share in the work at Pinehaven. Please be in prayer for this trip and consider how you could be a part of this trip. Pinehaven has not given us a set date yet, but we have gone in July in the past. On previous trips we have done interior and exterior painting, baled hay, chopped firewood, and done home construction. If you think this trip is for you please talk to Dennis (822- 2697) or Julia Kelsheimer (822-4040). The trip is for junior high age (with parents accompanying), high school and adult. The trip is from a Saturday to Saturday and we travel to Montana by plane.
