Lake Ridge Christian Church Strives to be a New Testament Church

The Bible teaches us that we are Christ's church, that the church is the body of Christ, and that we are members of the family of God.  Ephesians 2:16-22.  Together in services of celebration, in worship and prayer we draw closer to God and to each other.  We gain strength to bear our burdens, find comfort in times of sorrow, and rejoice in our victories. Lake Ridge is here to serve Christ and help you. Our aim is to minister unto all those with whom we come in contact.

We wear the name "Christian" only.  We do not claim to be the only Christian.  We reach the same conditions of pardon as taught by Christ and the apostles: Faith (Hebrews 11:6), Repentance (Acts 2:38), Confession (Matthew 10:32), and Baptism (Romans 6:3-6). We follows the scriptural practice of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins.  Having been obedient in these things, we can then advance toward maturity in Christ.  Hebrews 6:1,3;Acts 2:42

We partake of the Lord's Supper weekly, as did the Church when guided by the apostles.  The bread and the cup represent Christ's body and blood, recalling His death on the cross and bodily resurrection.  We remember Him and commune with Him until he comes again.  Luke 22:19-20.  Acts 20:7
We believe the New Testament is a fulfillment of the Old Testament, but accept the New Testament only as our rule of faith and practice.   2nd Timothy 3:16, Matthew 15:9

We plead for the Unity of all believers upon the divine plan for Christianity.  We love all people and pray that all will forsake man-made ways and accept the Lord Jesus Christ and His Way.  Ephesians 4:1-6.  We encourage you to take your stand and labor with us for the cause of Christ.  God bless you!
